Orthopaedic Department
Department description
The accredited department of orthopaedics provides care for patients with degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, especially of the weight-bearing joints, including implantation of total hip, knee and shoulder joint replacements, as well as treatment of chronic and traumatic diseases of the soft components of the joints (arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, etc.). An integral part of care is the prevention of congenital hip dysplasias in newborns and its basic conservative treatment. Specialized procedures are referred to the clinical orthopedic department after a complete examination.

- Outpatient surgical therapy of orthopaedic diseases - carpal tunnel syndrome, bursal extirpation...
- Basic diagnostic care for patients with primary bone tumours, including arranging specialised care at a higher centre.
- It includes traumatology of the musculoskeletal system.
