Department description
The Infectious Diseases Department of Jihlava Hospital is located in a new modern pavillion. It includes an intensive care unit with 4 beds, 2 standard wards with 20 beds each and the section for clinics.
It is used to diagnose and treat patients with infectious diseases. Patients with febrile conditions with presumed infectious causes, infectious diarrhea, neuroinfections, infectious hepatitis (jaundice), skin diseases (e.g. rosacea and shingles) are most often hospitalized here. We also provide the necessary isolation and treatment of patients (e.g. with COVID -19, influenza, chicken pox...). On a clinical base, we follow up patients after serious infectious diseases. We are a certified facility for the diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis. We provide travel vaccinations and counseling before traveling to exotic areas.
